Mary McCormack was an American actress who is famous for her role as the protagonist in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Her parents were a therapist and an ice cream parlor proprietor, McCormack hails from a family that has no connection to the world of entertainment. Following her parents' divorce in 1990 she attended Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut and earned an BA in Comparative Arts. In the age of twelve, she began her career as an actor in a production of the Christmas musical "Amahl And The Night Visitor". At the theatre, the actress played for many years before her roles eventually made it onto the screen. McCormack is now recognized as being one of the most versatile Hollywood artists. McCormack is married to producer/director Michael Morris and has three children.
