Robyn Rihanna Fenty popularly known as Rihanna is an Barbadian musician and singer who has given us hits like Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. An extremely successful performer at the peak of her youthful years, she's already sold over the sum of 41 million album and over 150 million songs worldwide becoming one of the most successful artists of all time. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae music and began singing when she was quite young. Due to the turmoil in her household and the fights her parents had with each other, she decided to take up music. Then she realized that she would like to make a profession of an artist. While in high school she formed group and performed at the auditions for Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was blown away by her talent. His request was that she relocate to New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna soon became an international star following her first release. She was a favorite amongst youngsters for her uplifting and foot-tapping songs. This led to Rihanna taking up directing. As a talented young woman, Rihanna has been hailed as a teenage idol. Rihanna uses her fame to great use through being involved in several charity causes.
